The Mitutoyo indicating micrometre contains a smooth, extremely precise mic head, which is necessary for rough positioning workpieces, as well as a dial indicator for quick, accurate deviation readings from a master. The retractable spindle trigger has a balanced spring and is simply operated with a button on the frame's anvil side. The retractable anvil enables for faster throughput of workpieces while maintaining precision. The ratchet-stop mechanism on the micrometre applies consistent pressure to a workpiece for precise, repeatable measurements. A slanted barrel Vernier scale avoids parallax errors and delivers highly precise outside dimension measurements.
